The Japanese universe in the Japanese decorative crests has been inspired by the superior technology and creative sensitivity of Japanese kimono and other lifestyle devices, and is reflected in all sorts of lifestyle culture in Japan. “Japanese fan design” is used very frequently together with floral or calligraphic
patterns since Heian Period in the 8-12th centuries.
