Japanese Peony

Blooming in the kaleidoscope of the Universe
Peony flowers are called “Queen of Flowers” by the gorgeous appearance.
They symbolize the position and wealth. In Japan,
peony motif is often used for the designs of “fusuma” doors,
folding screens and dishes like a “Symbol of Popular Designs”
since Edo Period in the 17-19th centuries.
Only the flower petals are used as the design motif eliminating all other elements
such as leaves and branches. Inside of the complete circle,
peony flowers are finely designed.
These peony flowers themselves are cosmic image and
when they are viewed in total as an image,
they look like a kaleidoscope existing in the Universe.
This design is symmetric from all of the four angles.
