Designer's Daruma is a collection of modern and stylish daruma dolls. This collection is
achieved by the collaboration of Lujei and Imai Daruma Crafts. Daruma is
a representative of Japanese designs symbolizing a lucky charm. Keeping
the traditional taste of Daruma as a lucky symbol, its design features
the stylish image to fit into a modern and simple interior of the global
market.

 Designer's Daruma Produced by designer 2104 in co-operation with Imai Daruma. The Italian
words "Cadere" and "Rialzarsi" combined with the numbers,reflect
the positive outlook of the inevitability of the ups in life outnumbering
the downs. Together they represent the ideal of self-improvement through
introspection. The Daruma encourages the spread of this positive philosophy.
The Daruma is made of recycled materials. The paint is made from crushed
seashells . The process of creation and the product are environmentally
friendly and bound by a tradition handed down through generations.

 Designer Futoshi is involved in the various product designs. He produced the whole design
of gDesignerfs Darumah series with the collaboration of traditional and
novel ideas. His creation is not only a design but comes with his strong
message for his creative works. His creative design, gDesignerfs Darumah,
became a blockbuster and attracts much attention.

Imai Daruma Craft is in business of hand-crafted papier mache for over 80 years. They are
preserving the local traditional handicrafts of "Takasaki Daruma".
On the other hand, they are making new challenges to design original items
to match the contemporary life. Imai's third-generation, Hirohisa Imai,
preserves the highly qualified hand-made craftsmanship of Takasaki Daruma
which is inherited since Edo Era. He is one of the leaders of Takasaki
Daruma manufacturers' Union to convey the traditional techniques of Daruma
artisans.
